The T-type valve provides two connection points in a single installation.

One connection can be used to fit the TPMS sensor and the other to check or adjust pressure without removing the sensor.

T adapter for TPMS

T-type valve

Benefits of the T-type valve in a TPMS system

An external sensor is normally installed on the same connection used to inflate the tire. When pressure needs to be checked or adjusted, the sensor may have to be temporarily removed.

The T-type valve or adapter adds a second connection so the sensor stays installed and an independent inflation point remains available.

Valves for trucks, semi-trucks and trailers

Trucks

Light and medium trucks may require metal valves, T adapters or extensions depending on the rim and the location of each wheel. The valve must allow fitting the sensor without exposing it to impact or contact with other components.

Semi-trucks

Semi-trucks usually combine single wheels on the steering axle and dual wheels on the drive axles. Each position may require a different length, angle or extension to keep the inflation point accessible.

Trailers and semi-trailers

Valves must allow identifying and servicing each position during inspections, and provide a suitable base for TPMS sensors. On dual wheels, extensions or specific valves may be needed for the inner position.
